My open water fishing trips run from early May until ice forms in early November. All fishing is done within the Superior national Forest where the fishery is robust and the fishing pressure is extremely light. Your time on the water with me will not only be an experience but consideried a private fishing lesson. You will learn the how's and whys of the approach to catching a specific species of fish. All trips are completely contoured to the species of fish that you are interested, your talent and access ability. Most of my trips are are from a 19ft open floorplan boat with all Hummingbird and Minkota electronics and all safety gear. Some specific areas or hot bites can require a smaller boat or canoe depending. However your comfort is always my priority. Trips are all inclusive except for your preferred lunch items. I do include a variety of beverages. Your only requirement is a Minnesota fishing license, appropriate clothing for the day and your preferred lunch items. All trips are performed in various types of weather so being prepared for all weather conditions is mandatory. I pride myself on a comprehensive plan every day to ensures success. My winter ice Fishing are an adventure that will create memories forever. The are that I fish within the Superior National Forest is the most underutilized fishery in the Midwest. With the fishing pressure almost non-existent we can move not only locations quickly but can also move lakes at a moments notice. I stay mobile on Skidoo long track snowmobiles while towing an Otter lodge that is completely self contained with all of the gear that I need to not only locate fish but stay on them while moving quickly through and snow conditions. I cater to very small groups due to the remote locations and mode of transportation. The day can either be an early morning or afternoon/evening depending on you needs and interest. I provide everything from rods and reels to electronics and heaters to make sure the trip rolls along seamlessly. You will be responsible for a Minnesota fishing license and the proper cold weather clothing for the day and location. Trips will be performed in all types of conditions so guests will need to be prepared for all winter conditions.I often tell my guests that all they have to be responsible for is clothing to stay warm in any condition, I take care of the rest.

Northern Pike Spearing through the ice is a heart pounding experience of a lifetime. Wether you are a first time spearer or have seasons under your belt you experience will be something to talk about. My trips are out of a permanent house or a portable Otter Lodge that is self contained with all the gear needed for the day. My permanent location is very roomy for multiple anglers that makes an all day sit very enjoyable with trophy potential. If remote locations are what you are looking for , I have multiple locations that provide trophy potentials. Trips are offered from the middle of December until season close in late February. You will be responsible for a Minnesota fishing license and a Minnesota dark house Spearing license and your preferred lunch and beverage items. Trips will be scheduled or rescheduled to accommodate early season ice conditions.
